To ensure consistent supply and mitigate risk, Eggspert Eggs operates across multiple farm sites, each dedicated to producing the highest-quality eggs.
Our process begins with day-old layer chicks, which are placed in specialised rearing facilities for approximately 17 weeks. This early stage is the foundation of a hen’s production cycle, and our team provides meticulous care to raise strong, healthy birds ready for peak laying performance.
Once fully reared, the hens are moved to our state-of-the-art, climate-controlled layer houses, where they lay eggs for the next 60 weeks. Under the guidance of experienced farm managers, a poultry veterinarian, and a poultry nutritionist, every aspect of their wellbeing from nutrition to environmental comfort — is carefully managed. This ensures optimal production while maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare, respect, and care.

Packing & Distribution
Eggspert Eggs operates a modern, food-safe egg packing station designed with strict quality assurance and hygiene protocols.
All eggs entering the facility undergo thorough quality checks to ensure that only the finest products reach our customers. Grading is performed in accordance with the Agricultural Product Standards Act, 1990 (R345) — regulations that govern the grading, packing, and marking of eggs intended for sale in South Africa. To further guarantee excellence, the facility is regularly assessed through independent third-party audits.
Our in-house logistics team oversees distribution using a dedicated fleet of temperature-controlled vehicles, purpose-built for the safe and efficient transport of eggs. This ensures reliable, on-time delivery and consistent freshness to customers across the greater Gauteng region.
